HELLO EVERYONE!
This blog is so stagnant.
Just dropping a note from down under to say a big hi! and I hope that everyone is doing super well! and studying super hard yes! I'll be back in sept! So hopefully there will be pitch training when I get back! I'm super duper desperate to hit a ball. hahaha. All the best for the prelims when ever it is!

Anyway, though it may be a bit late now, i still wanna say a big thank you to everyone for celebrating my birthday! Thanks for all the surprises and presents. It was really memorable for me and i was super duper touched that almost the whole team 06 came down for training. The feeling of everyone coming back together was great and thanks for making my day! ** loves**

It's been such a long trip that we've taken together over this past year..
yet it feels like it has all gone by just TOO FAST =(

From the time where we first met as a team,
things have been just flying by too quickly..
Sometimes i wish i could just turn back time
and go back to all those beautiful moments
that we didn't really appreciate or truly enjoy fully at that time..

Even simple moments such as..

Training together in the rain..
Those late night team conferences on the phone..
Those hours spent late into the night preparing for our seniors farewell together..
Team movies & Team stayovers..
Running our 10 rounds warmup making sure NO one is left behind..
Sharing those cups of bubble JUICE after trainings =)
Laughing so LOUDLY during team dinners that we almost got chased out from WHEREVER we sat xP

all seem so far away
and terribly missed =((

HC u either piggyback or get piggybacked!

Being part of this fairytale team
really just taught us to just be ourselves
and love each other no matter what.. =)

Hi Girls,

In another 19 hours, we will be having our first official match with JJC and it marks the beginning of the nationals! I guess by then, we will be running our lungs out on the familiar green pitch, chasing after every ball that went past us. hahax..

I think everyone of us realise the importance of this match. There is only ONE option for us and that is to WIN this match. Only when we win this match, will xiao yuan and christine be allowed to play for the next two matches. Also, if we win, it marks a good start and boost our confidence for the next two matches.

I have absolute faith in everyone of us and i BELIEVE we can do much better than this. For the past one year, we have gone through a lot of trainings and it's now time to show the rest what we are capable of and applied what we have learned on the pitch! Miss ho always said when we are out there on the field, we play for ourselves first, then the team followed by the sch. Cherish whatever time you are given on the field and give it your best shot. At the end of the match, if you have given in your best, no matter what the outcome is, you know you have not let yoursELF, the team and miss ho down.

Come on girls, UNLEASH YOUR POWER and your DESIRE TO WIN. Always remember that on the field, it is a matter of how much you wanted the ball. If u desperately wanted the ball more than the others, victory will be yours!

Thinking back of the things that have happened in the past one year, it is amazing that we have come this far together.

I remember when we first started out, we are divided into different cliques and hardly mix around with one other.
Slowly, with the camps and the theory lessons cum sharing sessions we have with miss ho, we open up to one another, understanding one another a little better.
Together, we went through trainings that lasted for hours and survived those tough runs as well.
I still remember the times when we meet up to run outside sch, exploring the different routes near the area and it is very much vivid in my mind.
Together, we face the problems of being suspended from trainings due to poor results and there comes the study sessions we have, not forgetting the countless team dinners and team lunches we hae.
Next, we played our first 4a side and it was when we scored our first goal.
Together, we rejoiced, we celebrated.
Trainings started to get more intensive and with the sch work that we have to cope, many were drained out but we held on.
For every friendly that we played, we played hard but w still committed errors. Nevertheless, we take away something from each match.

From all that has happened, everyone has become much more bonded and closer. The team spirit we have is strong and i just enjoy being with the team. Everyone is just like a family member to me and together we are one BIG FAMILY. Once again, let's work hard during the nationals and achieve something for ourselves, the team and miss ho.

We can MAKE IT HAPPEN,

Hi everyone..
Shumz here. I haven't posted on this blog for the longest longest time!
Anyway, I was reading a tag by jialing about hoping that everyone would make an entry before nats to encourage each and every one of us, so here is mine!
Here goes nothing...
Its real quick! One year passing by.. I remembered the first time I joined the team, the first thing I was asked to do was to run 5 rounds with the j1s. What a great first impression. hahaha. Who knew that in a blink of the eye, I would be changing from a total hockey noob to someone with at least a little knowledge of the game. It was real quick! I made loads of friends and shared loads of laughter with all of you and I honestly don't think I would be the person I am today if not for hockey (and of course other factors, but really, who needs to know.) Nats is in 5 days time and I personally think that We can do it.
I know we can,
You know we can,
Miss Ho knows we can.
So what is stopping us? NOTHING should be stopping us! For the three matches coming up, we have to be relentless. We have to prove to each and every one of the other teams that PJ Hockey isn't a team to be messed with. We may not be as skilled as some of the players we are going against, but that shouldn't stop us from giving it our best. And even in the case we are defeated, at least we know we gave it our all.
We'll strive to be the best that we can be and throw in a 110%

one more week..it's amazin as i think back on how the yr has passed,how u guys started out..fm total gong gongs bout hockey to ppl who are so passionate bout it...n who jus keep goin,thru tough trngs, thru food restrictions,thru the scoldings..u guys pressed on..cheesy as it may sound,but i think u guys are winners already, in your own ways, fighting n winning the battle to keep goin as each day comes..the tournament wil come n go as fast as this yr has gone by..but i hope tt whatever happens, u all would not forget all the lessons u have leanrt about life thorugh your hoceky experience..about not giving up,about bein ter to support each other, abt havin a character,not to be so easily shaken when the "going gets tough"..i hope the friendships made would last..the care n concern given to each other would remain even as u guys go on in your lives after this tournament...the tournament would be a distant memory,so will the trngs,the dinners,the goofiness,the fun,sorrow,pain,runs...but these memories are one in a million,or gazillion for that matter..so cherish them...
when u guys go out n play,dun let your nerves get the better of you,play each game as if it's your last,give all u've got,go for the ball like your life depends on it(of course dun cut into your fren's space n run like a mad dog everywhere) pressure your opp until they will say," wah they damn cheong leh"...n when you'v got the ball think ahead..havin the ball is not the conclusion of the matter, there is a goal to be scored..move forward together,as a unit, an organised one,not one that has no direction..you all have been taught the ways to run,improvise,use them..this chance to play together in THIS PJ HOCKEY team wun come again..this chance to have Ms Ho "shouting" frm the sidelines wun come again..n to play such tt she dun shout tt much is an even rarer chance,so try to achieve that,...;)
play as THINKING players,knowing your NEXT STEP,LOOKING OUT for ur other players or for SPACE..go out ter with COURAGE..dun doubt yourselves..prepare the day before..VISUALISE what you must do..play it in your head..
this last week i hope that u all will give your best for trgs..if poss meet up during breaks to practice hits,shorst corners,etc..things tt need to be polished up..do ur runs..but also give yourself ample rest n take care of your health..PLS dun sprain your ankle or anything or injure yourself..EBERYONE of u is needed...
Make this chance COUNT!!! let those who are watching feel the DRIVE tt u have gotta give..i have yet to see more AGGRESSION..i will see it in your games wont' i? you'll feel the adrenaline pumping thru you when you play, wont you?..PDPD...think bout it.. all the best gals..GO FOR IT..

it's just about more than a week to the nationals..

it's been a trying time for everyone on this team recently..
not only have we been faced with the pain of underperforming in our recent games..
but also all of us now face so much stress of school work and recent exams..
and for some of us, playing for the nationals may not even be a confirmed chance yet..

but in the face of all this..

all the MORE WE SHOULD PROVE OURSELVES.

Even if the teachers tell us we can't,
even if the parents are on our cases,

Even though we may fail,
Somewhere deep down inside..
we KNOW we CAN do this.
we know OUR WORTH.
we know WE ARE STRONGER THAN THIS.

It's true.
We have nothing to lose.
Nothing to be afraid of.
So what if we are playing against the perennial powerhouses?
(remember in the team movie: Coach Carter?
this is just like the final game between
RICHMOND and St. Andrews[not sure of the name]
yea..
richmond was NEVER expected to even QUALIFY for anything..
and yet they made it all the way to the FINALS!
even though they never did win that final game,
they were celebrated even MORE than the winning team..
they were HEROES!
just for being UNAFRAID to give their all.
just for REFUSING TO GIVE UP.
and during that final match..
every basket they scored
scared the hell out of their opponents.)

Same goes for us.
Why should WE be afraid?
When it should be our opponents that should be AFRAID OF US.
The pressure is on for them to beat us by a large margin.
EVERY SINGLE GOAL/ATTACK WE SCORE AGAINST THEM WILL SCARE THEM TO BITS.

So what are we waiting for?
Let's SHOW them what BEING a PJ HOcker is all about.

We aren't just a PJ Hockey team,
We are THE PJ HOckey TEAM.
